Durability & Shock Absorption
You’re a clever individual. So it will come as no surprise to you that glass can break—even high-quality, heavy duty borosilicate like ours. While our glass pieces have been known to survive a tip or a drop, it’s certainly not guaranteed.
A silicone skin creates a shock absorbing barrier between that breakable glass and hard surfaces, protecting your investment for years of happy smoke sessions.
Better Grip and Texture
Glass is clean and elegant. It can also be a bit of a slippery customer, especially in smaller pieces. If you have a habit of dropping your tasters, a silicone skin can add a bit of additional grip and just may keep that herb in your hand, instead of on the floor.

Easy Cleaning
Rubbery and removable, silicone skins are easy to clean. Just remove the skin from your pipe and scrub each piece with dishwashing liquid and some hot water. A toothbrush is great for getting into corners and edges. Rinse the pieces well and let them dry thoroughly before reassembling your piece.
Food Grade Silicone (for Safety)
Not all silicone is made equal. We only use premium food grade silicone. It has higher heat resistance than “regular” silicone, so it won’t break down when it comes into contact with hot smoke. And it’s safe for you to put in or on your mouth.
