What makes a waterpipe worth purchasing? Some say form, some say function, I say both. Upon unboxing, the first thing you'll say is, wow, that's beautiful! Though because I know myself the first thing I thought was, "Wow, that looks easy to break". This is a truly beautiful piece and its way prettier in person. You have to be careful with a piece like this because it's as much art as it is functional. As beautiful as it is, the function is really what garnered my feelings for this piece more than anything. The biggest value here is that when you first water test to figure out the right level for your pull style, you immediately realize that this isn't going to be like it is with all the other girls, she's special. Every sexy little curve here serves a purpose. As you start to pull there is this amazing pulsing effect that makes for a draw, unlike anything I have ever tried. It's truly pleasurable to have a totally new feel. Additionally, since the smoke travels through all those little perc-rings on the way up you can take a long steady pull and taste every note of your favorite flower. I would not recommend that you put this piece on a table with friends, and keep it for private use and/or just good friends who can respect your gear.
I highly encourage anyone looking for a new design that challenges typical convention on what a great draw is, to give this piece a try. I have partaken from some really nice glass, and this is up there with my best experiences to date. Great job Grav, I cant wait to see what you guys make next!
PS, a bad shipping experience is not supposed to go in a product review. Review the product accurately, if you're going to complain review the piece and just have a caveat at the end about the shipping issues. I ordered my piece on a Tuesday and had it in my hands on Thursday. I also had to deal with customer service this time and they were incredibly helpful.
