Dabs / Dabbing

Dabbing involves taking a small amount of cannabis concentrate and dropping it on a glass or metal surface that's been super-heated using a butane torch. You then inhale the vapor through a glass instrument, usually a bong-like water pipe called a rig (as in an oil rig). The advantages of dabbing are that you can control the dosage, the temperature, the air path, and the type and quality of the concentrate.

Dabbing requires several components. First, you'll need a banger or nail - the accessories that you heat and apply concentrate to. They're separate components from the rest of the pipe so you can replace them over time.
Next you need a rig - a pipe that you can plug the banger or nail into. The water in the pipe cools the vapor before you inhale it.
Last, you need a torch. In order to get your banger or nail to a high enough temperature, a traditional lighter won't suffice. Butane torches are the standard heat source for dabbing.

There are lots of other dabbing accessories that aren't vital but can greatly enhance your experience - pearls, terp slurpers, carb caps, and more. Check these out in our Dabbing collection!
