Scientific and heady are genres of glass pipes. Most pipes can be labeled either scientific or heady, with a spectrum running between them (the more scientific, the less heady). Heady glass focuses on embellishments, using diverse and vibrant glass colors, eye-catching marbles, and glass structures on the outside of a pipe that don't contribute to the pipe's function. Heady pipes often take on recognizable forms, like an animal, a face, a robot, etc.
